Bio: Guitarist / harp-guitarist MURIEL ANDERSON is the first woman to have won the Natio­nal Fingerstyle Guitar Championship.  An engaging performer, her obvious joy of music and facility across musical genres is revered by guitarists and audiences worldwide.  She is host of the renowned ­Muriel Anderson's All Star Guitar Night­® and is founder of the Music for Life Alliance charity. Her "Heartstrings" recording accompanied the astronauts on the space shuttle Discovery. Her CD "New World Flamenco" with guitar duo Tierra Negra has received widespread acclaim.

Muriel's guitars: Steel string ladies parlour guitar and harp guitar by David Taylor, harp guitar by Mike Doolin, Main guitar is a Tierra Negra model flamenco guitar, classical guitar by Paris Banchetti, Muriel's signature model steel string Morris guitar. She uses GHS strings on all her instruments.  She now uses a Stonecastle Blues Boy pedalboard with D-Tar pickup and equinox when using direct signals in larger venues.  Her preferred recording mic is the Brauner VM-1.
