It was great to see so many friends in California! Thanks to everyone!

Enjoyed watching the whales off the coast of Long Beach, just before the concert. The grey whale did a beautiful dive, but the shutter on the camera just missed it. Fill in with imagination. The theater where I played that night is just on the coast, so we sailed by it.
Funny, when I walked in to the restaurant for breakfast this morning, I heard Vincent” playing in the muzak, then realized it was me. It was released here in Japan on Nippon Crown records some years ago. I love the breakfasts in Japan! Smoked fish, little dried whole fishes, tofu, variety of seaweed, pickled things, something listed as edible brown algae, and rice that you wrap in little sheets of toasted seaweed.
The morning I arrived I went for a walk by the pagodas near my hotel. Although I wonder why there are red bibs tied on the stone cats in the first pagoda.
Then went to market to buy lunch.

Fawn listens to lullaby
I sat on my front step and played lullabies to this little fawn who sat down in the grass to listen. Here is also a video of a Fawn & Hummingbird in my garden greeting each other.

A dear friend, Velzoe Brown, passed away at age 101. I wrote “Velzoe’s Garden” for her. It appears on the Wildcat CD and the sheet music is also published in the current issue of Acoustic Guitar Japan. This week from my garden in Nashville I filmed Velzoe’s Garden

Harp Guitar Under the Stars - Muriel Anderson and John Doan. Listen.
The the front cover artwork is a painting I made based on a photo that Deirdra Doan took of John and Myself. Then Deirdra modified the painting with some of Van Gogh’s original to create our CD cover. You took can see the process here
. Below is my original artwork I painted in acrylics when I was on vacation in Montauk Long Island.
